Holden Caulfield Poster Michael Zuraw Faculty mentor: Lora Lee (Boya Li) Eastern Connecticut State University
The inspiration of this design was J.D. Salinger's novel The Catcher in the Rye. The protagonist Holden Caulfield is depicted within this poster, which is intended to be a reinterpretation of the book's cover. I wanted to show Holden as he was near the end of the novel, beaten and disheartened. The typography stands to represent his thoughts and are direct quotes pulled from the novel, as well as the backsplash itself being a page from the novel as well.
Mike Zuraw is from Griswold, Connecticut, and is a junior majoring in Digital Art and Design. After graduation he plans to become an in-house graphic designer.
